This XVIII th-century fortified manor house (conac in Romanian)
is a fine example of southern Romania's traditional architecture and decorations.
All the original architectural details of the manor - thick walls,
the watch tower, secret passageways, the arcaded balcony running the entire length of the upper floor,
immaculately whitewashed walls – have been preserved intact.
